Grape Agate Collection #0041

An especially attractive grape agate specimen composed of densely clustered lavender-purple quartz spheres in a wide range of sizes. The piece has a wonderfully complex, almost sculptural surface, with larger rounded forms nestled among extensive areas of finer botryoidal growth. Delicate drusy crystallization across portions of the specimen adds a subtle sparkle and contrasts nicely with the softer, rounded surfaces. The pale violet coloration is unusually gentle and gives this piece an appealing, almost frosted appearance.
